You can request anything a library might have in its collection, such as books, movies, audio CDs, articles, and book chapters.
Some items are harder to get through InterLibrary Loan, however. Most libraries won't send non-circulating items such as reference books, microfiche and microfilm, and items in special collections. Many libraries also won't send really new items, really old items, or audio or visual items.
Even if a library won't send the full book, however, they will send copies of portions of a work. So if you are familiar with the contents of a book, you can request a copy of a chapter or article and get your information that way.
