Do you know where can I find Evans and Serjeantson's lapidary book on the symbolism of jewels in the Middle Ages? In searching for it, I learned from the introduction to a book seen on Google, that the edition printed in 1933 might be found in volume 190 of "the Original Series of the Early English Texts Society" (A Medieval Book of Magical Stones: The Peterborough Lapidary. Ed. and Trans. by Francis Young. 2016. books.google.com.). The book cited might possibly do as well if the first one cannot be found. Thank you.
I am researching semiotics in the Gawain-poet, and this text may be very useful for my essay which is due in a few weeks.

Answer

Hello,

You can request this book through Interlibrary Loan. I was able to find it in the database WorldCat (if you look at the list of databases on the library home page, it is under W). I did a search for both author's last names and the book came right up. If you are logged into Illiad when you search, you can request your item from the item record in WorldCat. Please let us know if you need further help finding this.
